Papers must be researched and written by one author. Judges reserve the right not to award any prizes if it is determined that no entries merit selection for publication by NLR. All entries submitted to the ABA become the property of the ABA and will not be returned; however, entrants who do not win may submit their entries for publication elsewhere. Virginia State Bar IP Section Law Student Writing Competition Deadline: May The Virginia State Bar Intellectual Property Section is seeking papers written by law students who are attending law school in Virginia or are residents of Virginia attending law school outside of Virginia relating to an intellectual property law issue or the practice of intellectual property law.

The winner must acknowledge and confirm agreement to the terms and conditions of winning the Contest no later than February 7, The program is open to first-year law students who have demonstrated excellent academic scholarship and a commitment to diversity, inclusion and community.
